Emerald City Pantry (ECP) is an all-volunteer group that delivers complete nutrition, including fresh produce, dairy products, eggs, meat, fish, bread, and prepared deli items, as well as desserts, in Southeast Seattle, one of the country's most culturally diverse areas.

At the same time, we are reducing the amount of amazing food entering the waste stream. Volunteers pick up donated food that has reached its sell-by date from PCC Markets, Met Market, and other stores. ECP also distributes pet food and supplies for our furry friends from All the Best Pet Care.

Juli Cummings (on the right in the picture) built this amazing organization with a mission to create a sustainable community where everyone has access to healthy food. ECP has distributed millions of pounds of food. PCC alone provides over $1M in donations every year, not including produce. Volunteer distribution includes a pop-up every Saturday at Rainier Playfield, a community fridge in Columbia City on Mondays, and distribution to community centers and homeless groups, including small house villages.
