Donate for Julio's Wheelchair-Accessible Car

Meet my brother-in-law, Julio. He is almost 40 and is one of the most social, kind-hearted people you’ll ever meet. He loves Real Madrid, keeps up with every game, and can talk to anyone about anything. Spend five minutes with him, and you’ll leave with a smile.

Julio has been in a wheelchair his whole life due to cerebral palsy. He depends on his parents, family, and friends for everything, including getting in and out of the car. They've never had a wheelchair-accessible car and his father has always done the heavy lifting, but as the years have gone by, it’s become harder and harder to get him in and out of their car. His mother, a cancer survivor now on dialysis, simply isn’t able to help physically anymore.

When other family members, like his brothers and sister, are around, they pitch in. But even with extra help, taking Julio anywhere is a big challenge. Getting him to the doctor, to church, or out for a family gathering takes a lot of effort and planning. Many times, they just can’t go.

That’s why we’re raising money to buy a wheelchair-accessible car for him and his family in Spain. With this car, his family could safely and easily take him where he needs to go, and where he wants to go. It would mean freedom, safety, and a chance for Julio to be part of more everyday moments instead of missing out.
