I am writing this on behalf of my sister and her husband, Jonathan, who need some financial assistance at this time. Jonathan had a moderate stroke in February of 2024 that affected his right side and a mini one a few months later that affected his left. Although he has made great strides, there are still many things he can't do very well. His speed, balance, and endurance have suffered greatly, and it is affecting his ability to be fully successful in the warehouse where he currently works. He is facing the possibility of being let go because he just isn't fast enough to keep up.

In the past couple of months, they have learned about a clinic in Boca Raton, Florida, called the Institute of Neurological Recovery. The doctor and team there have been helping stroke and traumatic brain injury patients for over 15 years to recover some of the vital life skills they've lost. The treatment is not experimental but is not yet approved by the FDA, and so it is not covered by insurance.

Jonathan has had 3 major health issues/surgeries in a period of 6 years. He continues to have annual check-ups, tests, and meds for each of these issues. This has taken a toll on them not only financially but emotionally as well. The knowledge of this treatment has given them some hope in a very uncertain and scary time. They have a tentative date to start this treatment on September 10th, but they can't do it without your help.
