Help JT (James) Fight Against Multiple Sclerosis

Donation protected

My name is Kimi (Kimber) and I'm trying to raise money for medical & other bills for my fiancé, JT (James). He is 36 years old (as of 4/10/2024), and has been experiencing difficulties with feeling and walking since the day after the 2024 Super Bowl LVIII (58): San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs, which was Monday, February 12, 2024. Consequently, he has been off of work since September 3, 2024. Despite hoping it was just a temporary issue that would resolve on its own, he sought medical attention after his condition deteriorated to the point of requiring a walker. He was admitted to the hospital on September 3, 2024 and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes on September 5, 2024, and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on September 7, 2024. MS is a permanent neurological disease that has caused "MS Brain Fog," (has effects similar to early stage Dementias for a few hours), "MS fatigue," (unexplained bouts of tiredness), a numbness level that fluctuates depending on standing (goes from the waist down through his toes), or laying down (goes from just below the nipples on down through his toes), the inability to currently stand or walk as of the 2025 Super Bowl LIX (59): Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs. This includes 3 separate stints among 5 different hospitals. He was in 3 different Pittsburgh, PA area hospitals, including in-patient rehabilitation that lasted nearly 5 weeks. After being discharged to home, JT was able to successfully walk short distances with his walker, but had to continue to maintain a Foley Catheter, and bowel incontinence. After 3 days home, we noticed his catheter output had begun to decrease. Through the night he became lethargic. By bedtime (around 11 PM), when we went to roll him in his chair, he didn't feel like he had the strength to walk thr less than 30 yards via the walker to the bed, so he used his wheelchair as the seat, and my dad's wheelchair for his feet as a makeshift bed for the night, hoping he would regain enough strength by the morning to move to out bed in the bedroom. That didnt happen. He didn't want to wake-up for more than about 30 seconds at a time. I was going to use his slide board to get him onto another bed we had in the living room. He couldn't stay awake long enough to help with the slide board transition, so I had to essentially shove him across the board on to the bed. He slept for several hours, when a nurse came to evaluate him for in-home physical therapy. At this point, she asked the Registered Nurse (RN) if he was acting this way during her medical evaluation earlier in the week, to which she said, "No." She then asked me if it was normal for him to be like this, to which I said. "No." At this point we called 9-1-1. The firefighters came over and began asking him questions, like why he felt tired, to which he kept responding, "I'm tired.《, The funds raised will be used to cover medical bills, and potentially for ongoing monthly or daily needs.
