My husband James recently went through his 4th foot surgery. This last surgery on July 16, 2025, was to amputate half of his foot. This was due to poor circulation that didn't let the infection in his toes heal. Thankfully, the pathology results came back negative for infection in the remaining part of his foot. He has also had the blood vessels behind his knee opened up twice since November 2024.

We have a lot of medical/hospital bills now, and he'll have even more as he continues to heal and has to keep having tests done to make sure he has good blood flow to his foot and that no infection is setting in. We are trying to get him a scooter for when he has to walk long distances. He has back and hip issues and needs to have another back surgery (this would be #4). His hips are full of arthritis, and he can't walk more than about 30 yards without having to stop because his hips and back start hurting him so bad. Insurance will only pay a certain amount, and then we have to pay the rest out of pocket for the scooter. We'll also have to have a transport rack put on our vehicle for the scooter.

We need to have our decks fixed. The back deck needs to be pushed back towards the house, and a lot of boards need replacing. The front deck has to be replaced due to rotting boards and loose boards. I have to be very cautious when taking him out to his doctor's appointments that we don't fall through the deck. Also, last Thursday, as I was taking him to his appointments, as soon as I pushed him onto the metal wheelchair ramp, it broke. I had to put bricks underneath it to hold it up so I could get him back into the house. So, we also need a ramp built. We have someone to do the work; we just need to get the money for the supplies. We hate having to come here and ask for help, but it's the only way we can get these things done.
