Hello, my name is Heather Coggins. I'm twenty-five years old and I'm special needs. I enjoy doing puzzles, playing video games, horseback riding, and watching NCIS, SWAT, and all the Chicago shows.
Just recently, I was diagnosed with Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency, which has to do with my corneas. It is considered a rare disease. It is a blinding corneal disorder that can result from genetic causes, trauma, or chronic inflammation. At this time, my sight limits me to what I can see.
My parents decided to start a GoFundMe page to help raise donations to go to the Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore, MD at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, in hopes of getting help for my eyes so I can see better again. Any help you can offer will be a great help. Thank you so much for allowing me to tell my story and to be able to share my dream and hope of being able to see again.
God Bless,
Heather Coggins
