On January 1, 2024 I had a freak accident at an Airbnb when I hit my head against a slanted ceiling/wall. My life hasn’t been the same since. I sustained a concussion (mild traumatic brain injury) and it took me eight months until I could function like a relatively normal human. During those 8 months, I had severe headaches, extremely poor concentration and memory, neck pain, issues with emotional regulation and thinking, and vision and balance problems. My resting heart rate became too high and I wore a heart monitor. I couldn’t sleep and I began to faint often.

After following a strict diet, exercise, and sleep routine, I was so grateful when my brain made a full recovery after 8 months.

However, a chronic whiplash injury remains. This involves intense chronic pain in my neck, head, upper back, and shoulders, headaches, and a nervous system which is often dysregulated.

I have barely been able to work for the past year and an half and am still waiting on a response from disability.

Any help would be momentously appreciated as I seek expensive medical care on the road back to life, work, and freedom.
