My name is Haydi. Here's my story.

I have been struggling with severe vision problems that glasses and contact lenses can no longer help. Many people suggest “just wear glasses” or “try contacts,” but what they don’t realize is how much I have tried — and how much my eyes simply can’t tolerate them. Glasses cause me constant headaches and strain, while contacts leave me in pain, with irritation and infections. I have reached a point where neither option works for me, and my only hope is Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery.

This has affected my daily life in ways that are hard to explain. Driving feels unsafe, reading is exhausting, and even recognizing faces has become difficult. I deal with eye pain, fatigue, and the emotional weight of struggling to do simple things most people take for granted. It’s overwhelming, and at times discouraging, but I am holding on to hope that this surgery will change everything for me.

The hardest part is that ICL surgery is considered “elective” by insurance, even though it’s medically necessary for me. The cost is more than I can handle on my own. That is why I am reaching out for help.
