Get Harper dancing again!

On 16th February 2026, Harper was sent urgently to Alder Hey A&E department, following an optician review, which identified severe swelling of the optic discs in both eyes. Just a few hours later, Harper was diagnosed with a posterior fossa brain tumour and hydrocephalus. Harper was admitted to Alder Hey hospital that day and has since been through the unimaginable. She has undergone 3 brain operations, including surgical excision of the tumour, where surgeons were able to remove nearly everything that they could see. However due to the complexity of the location of the tumour, as well as the multiple further operations, Harper faces a long road to recovery.

Harper has significant rehabilitation needs, she suffers from diplopia (double vision) for which she has to alternate eye patches to try to retrain her eyes to be able to see the world as she should. She has discoordination, which means simple tasks such as putting one foot in front of the other, or putting a spoon to her mouth, require significant help.

The NHS specialist neuro therapy team are doing all they can to support Harper and their family, however we know that with Harper’s strong will power and her determination to be able to get back to living her best quality of life, we can find ways to support her further.

Harper’s best friends in the world miss her so much and they are determined to help her recover and get her back dancing again. They are keen to raise enough money to support her on this incredible journey of recovery.

So what are we raising money for?…

- Private specialist neuro rehabilitation
- Private tutoring whilst she cannot attend school
- Private holistic support, such as massage and wellbeing services
- Private PT sessions, when she’s well enough

We know inherently, that our community fully support Harper’s recovery, and everyone is determined to see her back doing what she loves the most in life; to dance.

We hope to help her achieve her goals and continue to thrive. With her phenomenal bravery and determination we know she can achieve and overcome anything.

We love you so much Harper ❤️
