Unfortunately, Our Erni boy has ended up needing stitches in the back of his throat all because he was playing his favourite game of fetch on the Dance floor.

It could have happened to any of our special doof doggy friends, very unfortunate for our sweet boy.

The stick went down the back of his throat and came back out, there was immediately blood and lots of yelping from our Favourite Doof Doggy.

I found him wobbly and lost with blood dripping out of his mouth, scooped him up and took him to rest, he ate some dinner and then went to sleep, but continued to vomit blood.

So thankful for Mumma Carole and Scott taking him straight to the vet about an hour after the incident happened yesterday around 8pm.

I don’t know what I would do without my parents being there to help me and my furry friend.

The vet immediately had to sedate him, give him pain medication and do an X-ray and the injuries are quite serious requiring surgery to repair his throat.

He’s now at home resting and has to be on antibiotics to make sure everything heals up properly, with a chance for him to still need more surgery depending on the healing process.

Our Beautiful Erni boy only just two years old has had a trip around Australia with us and he goes where we go and right now he needs a little help to get back to full health so he can continue on this journey with us all.

He’s the sweetest most beautiful and annoying pup, he loves every dog and person he meets.
