Donate for Emma's Surgery and Recovery
I am raising funds to help little Emma get a surgery that she needs to drastically change her life. She recently tore out her ACL in the back. I do not have the ability to pay for this surgery without your help.
She and I are both older than when this picture was taken, yet both of us still have lots of life left in us! My other lab Sasha, finally died at a ripe age of 14 and a half years.
Emma has always been very healthy and could easily live that long as. Can you help me make this a reality?
Many of you know that I live in Soldotna, Alaska. The surgery would take place up in Anchorage. It will mean driving through a mountain pass and there may be snow flying. I will have to drive up the day before spend the night with her in a hotel and she will have the surgery the next day. I have had to spend quite a bit of money already just with the local veterinarian.
She injured herself while chasing a rabbit. Some might be horrified at this, however she is nowhere near fast enough to catch a rabbit! She just enjoys running and moving. She loves to be in the outdoors listening to to he sounds around her and smelling the things with her glorious nose. She's very depressed. She does not want to leave the house, and though she wants to go on a ride in the car, it is a big ordeal for her. When I've managed to get her her in, sometimes she is trembling in fear. She then promptly settles down and drifts off to sleep. She is content to just be with me in the car.
She is such a blessing to my life and to those that she meets. Even if you do not know Miss Emma, you would love her the minute you laid eyes on her! Can you help make surgery a reality for Emma? Although the surgery does not cost as much as it does for humans, any excess funds that are donated beyond the actual cost, will be donate to the local animal shelters. I cannot wait to bless them with your gifts!
