Help Our Family Say Goodbye and Heal After the Loss of a Loving Husband and Father.
Hi, my name is Vrinda Gutierrez ,
and I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. My husband was one of the hardest-working, most selfless people I’ve ever known. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a man who took pride in doing whatever it took to care for his family.
A few years ago, we moved from the Philippines to California, full of hope for a better life. My husband worked tirelessly to provide for us, even after being laid off from a good company. That loss weighed heavily on him. He did everything he could to find a new job so he could continue supporting our family, even when times got hard.
My husband has struggled with seizures for years, and because of that, he was unable to drive. He depended on public transportation to get around, which often made it difficult to get medical help quickly when needed. Not long ago, he suffered three seizures in a row. By the time he reached the hospital, his condition had become critical. He was placed in the ICU in a coma, and after nearly two weeks of praying for a miracle, doctors confirmed there was no brain activity.
Making the decision to let him go was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. My heart is broken, and I am still trying to come to terms with losing the man who was our family’s foundation.
At the time of his seizures, we were already struggling. With my husband out of work and no health insurance, the medical bills have been overwhelming. I recently started a new job and have no paid time off or savings to fall back on. On top of that, we are now faced with funeral costs and the challenge of caring for our teenage children while trying to rebuild our lives without him.
I am humbly asking for your help. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping us cover hospital and funeral expenses, and ensure that our children have what they need as we try to heal and find stability again.
My husband gave everything he had for his family, and I want to honor him by giving him the proper goodbye he deserves. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support during this unimaginable time. With love and gratitude,
