DONate for Don’s fight against GBM Brain Cancer

On July 20th Don Haight was rushed to the ER at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL with stroke-like symptoms. A CT scan revealed 3 tumors, one large and two smaller ones. He was immediately admitted to the ICU. Successful Neurosurgery for the larger tumor removal was done on July 24th. The pathology results came back with the devastating diagnosis of Grade 4 Glioblastoma or GBM. GBM is the most rare and aggressive form of brain cancer known. In typical Don fashion, he has chosen to fight this battle. Following a month of recovery from neurosurgery, the remaining tumors will be attacked with radiation and chemotherapy.
Having recently been laid off from his job in February due to the COVID pandemic, Don currently has no income or life insurance which makes this even more difficult. To all that know him, Don is the most warm, loving, generous, proud, and hard-working father and husband. His wife, Haley, their two sons, Cooper (5) and Carter (2), his children Ashley (27), and Parker (25) and stepchildren, Keegan (18), Caid (17), and Quincy (15) have always been his biggest priority. He is a Chicago boy, former Army Special Forces Medic, and has worked in healthcare his entire career.
Today, July 30th, is day 10 in the hospital. Don and Haley are humbled and appreciative of the outpouring of love, prayers, and support.
