Donate for Domingo

Hi, my name is Melissa and I’m organizing this emergency fundraiser on behalf of one of my best friends, Rasheda Williams and her beloved cat, Domingo, who needs lifesaving surgery. He has had bladder issues that have not responded to other treatment, with Rasheda already spending quite a bit of money on his care.

Why so much for a cat?

Those of you who know Rasheda understand the incredibly challenging couple of years that she has had. From the loss of her beloved Grandma Williams in 2020, the unexpected passing of her mother and best friend Mama Zena, and then the shocking loss of her brother Leonard just two months ago, Rasheda has gone through a lot. Domingo has been her “therapy” cat—her faithful companion—throughout this and more. Rasheda can’t lose him now without giving this surgery a fair chance.

I have known Rasheda for almost 10 years. Many of you have known her two or three times as long. We can all agree that Sheda puts family, friends and community first. Please join me in putting her first.

Any and all donations, no matter the amount, will go toward Domingo’s veterinary surgery bill. Rasheda received a quote from Wilson Veterinary Hospital in Washington, MI, one of the less expensive and most trusted facilities in the area.

Rasheda and I will keep you updated on expenses and Domingo’s progress. Rasheda is one of the most honest and transparent people I know. She will be responsible with your funds.
