Hi, my name is Melony. My daughter's name is Diamond. She is 25 years old and she has schizophrenia and bipolar depression. She has an upcoming surgery on June 3rd, 2025, and it is called a craniotomy. She has a cyst on the brain, and it is located in the third ventricle. The cyst is at 9 cm now. The doctor doesn't want it to get to 10 cm because it causes her fluid from the brain to stop flowing to the spinal cord, which causes seizures and death if not noticed. This will be her 3rd surgery since 2009 with this same condition. The photo is from 2018. Update on Diamond surgery It is scheduled for July 15th 2025, she was in psychosis and couldn't receive her surgery she was in the institute for psychiatry in MUSC for 15 days now she is home taking her meds and getting better so she can have her surgery.
