Dear Friends and Family,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits as Dax Lee Carlie, a brave little fighter, battles for his life at Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Born with Epstein anomaly, a serious heart condition, Dax's journey has been incredibly challenging.

Recently, Dax's condition worsened significantly. He experienced cardiac shock, resulting in both of his ventricles ceasing to function. After his arrival in Denver, the medical team managed to stabilize him, but his left ventricle has been slower to heal compared to the right. Though the right side is moderately functional, the left side remains severely dysfunctional. However, after recent evaluations, we are relieved to hear that both ventricles are now only mildly dysfunctional and showing signs of improvement.

Dax's condition is complex, and while his heart’s right side anomaly has made his recovery uncertain, there is hope that his little body will continue to heal with time. He will require surgery, and his family is anxiously awaiting each day, hoping for the best possible outcome.

The Carlie family is staying at the Ronald McDonald House, which has been a tremendous support. However, the financial burden of medical bills, food, and travel expenses continues to weigh heavily on them. We are asking for your support to help alleviate these costs during this challenging time.
