My 14-year-old daughter is being admitted to John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Pete next Tuesday, the 14th, to undergo high-dose chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. I have just put in for my unpaid FMLA.
This is my daughter’s second time battling cancer. She was first diagnosed in January 2024 with stage 4 Hodgkin Lymphoma. She went through 8 months of chemotherapy/treatment and went into remission. We just found out in June of this year that her cancer had relapsed. She has gone through immunotherapy treatment for the past 4 months and is now being admitted for a bone marrow transplant.
