Donate for Danielle's Rear-Entry Accessible Van

It can sometimes be rather trying living in northern MI “deer country.” A couple of weeks ago, my dear friend Danielle Rosenow-Nelson hit a deer with her vehicle. Danielle’s van was totaled. The van is an essential part of her and her two sons’ world. Danielle, a single working mom, Samuel, her 14-year-old son, and Jeremiah, her 8-year-old son, depend on this van because it is a rear-entry wheelchair accessible van. Jeremiah was born with spina bifida and has some other complex medical needs. He needs a wheelchair and other essential equipment to be able to get around and do life. The accessible van is how Jeremiah gets to school, church, and his frequent doctor’s appointments in Traverse City, to DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, and to Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.

Danielle is getting an insurance settlement, but between the amount of the settlement and the challenges of the past several years, there is not enough money to purchase a reliable, wheelchair accessible vehicle needed to transport Jeremiah as well as his equipment.

A safe vehicle with rear-entry wheelchair accessibility is a must for this family. I am asking for friends to help get Danielle a solid used van. Your gifts will greatly help this family.
