I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a lot of hope. My best friend and soul companion, Colton, is in need of urgent veterinary care—and I’m doing everything I can to make sure he gets the help he needs.

Colton isn’t just a cat. He’s my emotional anchor, my sunshine on dark days, and truly the sweetest soul you could ever meet. From the moment I brought him home, he’s had this gentle, healing energy that everyone—especially the vet staff—falls in love with. He rolls onto his back to greet me, rubs his face on my hand when I’m sad, and purrs so loudly it feels like a little engine of love. He’s not just friendly—he’s intuitively kind. He knows when I’m hurting, even before I do sometimes.

Lately, Colton has been in pain. He’s been limping and struggling to breathe comfortably. After a vet visit, we were told he urgently needs X-rays on his shoulder and lungs to understand what’s happening and to rule out anything serious. We can’t move forward with treatment until we know what we’re dealing with, and time is crucial.

But here’s the part that breaks my heart—even in pain, Colton still shows up for me. He still purrs, still cuddles, still puts me first. I see how much he’s pushing through for my sake, and now it’s my turn to be there for him.

The cost of diagnostic imaging and follow-up care is more than I can manage on my own right now, which is why I’m asking for help.
