On September 6th, 18-year-old Colby Oxton was on his four-wheeler checking his trail camera when he was shot in his head in the parietal lobe under unknown circumstances. This is still an ongoing investigation with the county detectives.

When he was transferred to Chattanooga, he was given a 15% chance to live. He has made significant strides, getting off a ventilator and just today getting his trachea out. Colby also ate food for the first time today. He will be transferred to Shepards Rehabilitation in a week, which insurance will not pay for. It costs $7,300 a day for him to be there and they feel his recovery will take 6 weeks. His family will be with him there as they also have to learn how to help him once he comes home. They are providing the family with an apartment for 30 days while he is there, but the other 2 weeks will be at the family's expense.

We are trying to raise money for his family to help pay for his medical bills as well as their travel to be with him and help with his recovery.
