Chow-Pow needs a CT scan and Surgery to have the bone-spur in his left wrist removed. We have an appointment at Colorado Canine Orthopedic and Rehab Center In Colorado Springs. The consultation is 180, and the CT Scan is 1,800. I am trying to figure out if this is something that can be removed via surgery or if he needs to be in a splint to heal naturally.
Peakview Animal Hospital in Fowler, CO Originally treated him for a bone infection, the swelling went down a bit but he has had to be on loads of pain medication to walk, and we were unaware of the bone spur with the first X-ray.
Fast forward 3 months and the spur is now more visible in the X-ray's from Mesa Vet Clinic in Pueblo, CO and clearly the problem. In addition the spur is covered by a benign cyst which is why we thought is was a bone infection originally.
If the surgery isn't the best option depending on what the CT-scan reveals, Then the next option is a pain medicine applied through injections. Both options are going to move upward of $5,000 so you will see the goal increase as we gain traction and support.
