I’m Rebecca and my partner Carlos is in hospice care dying from kidney cancer.

I am his primary caregiver. Unfortunately he is very unsettled and wakes and gets up a lot. He is confused and suffering from delirium due to his medical condition. This makes it hard to care for him as he won’t just stay in his bed, but he requires supervision to get out of bed and to walk at all. He can, and has, fall easily.

Due to all this I have had little sleep in the last few days. We are looking to hire a paid caregiver to cover 3 nights a week, 4-6 hours a night, depending on what we can afford with the whole family pitching in. Family members will cover the other nights.
