My name is Baylee, and I have been living with Autoimmune Sensory Ganglionopathy for 6 years now. When I was 15 years old, I woke up and my left pinky finger was numb, a week later my entire left hand, and three months later, my entire body was numb head to toe, and has been numb since, meaning I cannot physically feel anything head to toe. I can still feel pain receptors, which are even more sensitive now, and I am very tingly head to toe 24/7. My immune system attacked my nerves at the cellular level, making it near to impossible to ever heal from. I had to leave school physically and finish my degree online because I could no longer write with a pencil, and I had to stop playing soccer for 10 years because I could not run anymore. I am on two treatments, IVIG and a immunosuppressant called Rituxan that allow my disease to progress a lot slower, but the damage that has already been done is irreversible when it comes to healing naturally. I have had a port put in last year because of scar tissue overgrowth. I am a partial wheelchair user, I try to use my body as much as I can so I don’t get muscle atrophy, but have very little coordination or balance, and I fall a lot, breaking a couple tiny bones, and bruising my left kneecap that gives me issues everyday now. It is terrifying not knowing when you fall until it is already happening, giving you only a split second to react.

My symptoms have gotten even worse this year, so I am looking to raise money for stem cell therapy, because it may be the only thing that could work for me, as I have tried all medicines in the neuropathy group and none have helped me and the constant tingling over the 6 years. I am trying to keep myself from getting any more debilitated, and want to be as independent as possible. More and more evidence about stem cells for nerve regeneration have been coming out, and I think I would be a great candidate for it, and if I could get some help, it would be greatly appreciated.
