My name is Shirley Harrington, and I am fundraising for my sister, Barbara Boyd. As many of you know, our family’s life changed in an instant on May 24, 2025.

Before that day, Barbara was our loving sister, full of life, and in August, she celebrated her 67th birthday surrounded by family and friends. Now, she is the one who desperately needs us.

On that Tuesday in May, Barbara was involved in a severe car accident that left her with a life-changing spinal cord injury. She now requires 24/7 skilled nursing care as a quadriplegic. Her insurance and assets can only cover a minimal portion of her care.

Barbara will need round-the-clock skilled care for the rest of her life...a level of support that comes with overwhelming ongoing costs.
