My name is Avril Johnson. I am 50 years old. On January 26, 2024, I went to church service. After church, we were standing in the parking lot while waiting. The lights were off, and the only thing I remember after that was finding myself laying on the ground, crying, saying I can't feel my legs. I was hit by a car from behind, which broke my hip. I was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital. I was in the hospital for more than 3 months. To be exact, I was discharged on April 9, 2024. I had to get pins for my hip; one of my feet was longer than the other. The local police were supposed to visit me in the hospital to take my statement, but they didn't. After I left the hospital, I was taken to the station to make a report because I was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. I haven't gotten any help. I had to do therapy to learn to walk again.

My hip being broken has affected my health, which caused kidney failure. I have been in and out of the hospital in recent days. I have to be doing dialysis twice a week, which is a lot for me.
