Help My Aunt in Her Fight Against Liver Failure
Hi, everyone. I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my incredible aunt, who has been battling non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver for several years. Despite her best efforts and treatment, her condition has worsened, and she is now in complete liver failure.
On October 7th, we received the news that she is officially being moved to the active transplant list, and doctors will begin searching for a liver for her. While this news gives us hope, it also comes with a lot of challenges. Once a liver is found, she’ll need to relocate to Alabama for about a month to stay near the hospital, where doctors can monitor her recovery and ensure her body accepts the new organ.
Her insurance will thankfully cover the surgery and hospital costs, but she will still need $5,000 to cover medications and lodging during her recovery period. This is a huge financial burden, especially considering she will be 200 miles away from home and her family.
My aunt has always been a source of strength and love for our family, including raising her two granddaughters since they were babies. Now she needs our help more than ever. I’m asking for your generosity—whether it’s through a donation or sharing this post—to help her focus on healing without the added stress of these financial challenges.
Every bit helps, and we are deeply grateful for your support and prayers during this difficult time.
Thank you for standing with us.
