Hi everyone,
We are just two people trying to help paws and save as many cats as we can. ❤️ We are not a registered rescue — simply cat lovers who could not turn away from animals in need.
Over the past months, we adopted 8 cats from a high-kill shelter — including 3 cats from the euthanasia list, one 8-year-old owner surrender with very little chance of being adopted, 2 feral unsocialized kittens and 2 tiny kittens who deserved a chance to grow up safe and loved.
That brings us to 9 rescued kitties in our home.
Some came scared, grieving, sick, abandoned, or simply unwanted because shelters are overcrowded and space runs out too quickly. Seeing this heartbreak made us want to do even more.
We would love to begin fostering additional cats to help free up shelter space so fewer cats are euthanized simply because there is nowhere for them to go.
Right now, our biggest obstacle is space.
There are 2 empty apartments downstairs from us that could become safe foster spaces for cats in need. But rent in our area is extremely expensive — about $3,500 per apartment each month ($7,000 total monthly for both).
In addition to rent, rescue expenses include:
Vet visits
Blood work and medications
Special diets and food
Litter and supplies
Emergency medical care
Daily care for rescued cats and kittens
We are willing to give our time, energy, love, and home to these cats. But financially, we cannot do this alone.
Any support — whether it is a donation, supplies, or simply sharing this fundraiser — would help us continue saving lives and give more cats a second chance.
Our initial fundraising goal is $15,000, which is the minimum amount needed to help us secure safe foster space for rescued cats and cover urgent veterinary care, medications, food, litter, and other daily rescue expenses.
The actual monthly costs of rescue are much higher, but reaching this minimum goal would allow us to continue helping cats in need and give more shelter cats a chance to survive and find safety. ❤️
