Amy Harness is a long time member of the Watford City community. She’s a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. We are rallying around her at this time with our support.

Amy went in on March 13th for a full hysterectomy and there were minor complications during surgery which we thought were resolved during the procedure.

Several days after the surgery she developed signs of an infection and she was sent home with medication hoping the issue would resolve.

On March 25th she went back to the ER and McKenzie County Healthcare determined she needed further treatment from a bigger facility. She was flown to Essentia Health Fargo for further treatment.

In Fargo it was discovered that there is an injury to her colon. As of today March 26th, she was sent in for an emergency surgery to repair her colon. She has a long hospital stay ahead of her as well as continued care and follow up appointments. It is expected she will be unable to work for at least 6 months. Her spouse Micheal is with her in Fargo.

At this time we are asking for financial support. All of the ER visits, hospital stays, tests, life flight, and hotel expenses for family is adding up quickly. Thank you!
