On July 12, 2025, Deshawn and Alexis Branch welcomed their beautiful daughter, Amaya Nayeli Branch, into the world. Amaya was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare and severe congenital heart defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart.

While Amaya’s medical journey has taken an unexpected and difficult turn, her family continues to stay by her side, navigating each day with unimaginable strength, love, and grace. As they face prolonged hospital stays, time away from work, and the emotional weight of this journey, the financial burden continues to grow.

Deshawn, a dedicated public servant and veteran, and Alexis have never asked for help. They are humble, hard-working, and devoted parents doing everything they can to be present for both of their children. With no family nearby, they are leaning on their community for support.
