Donate for ALS Care: Sarah's Dad Needs You
Donation protected
My name is Sarah Stockford and I am raising money for my dad, Eric Stockford (56) who was diagnosed with ALS in September of 2023.
ALS is a disease where your nerve cells break down reducing muscle functionality. Every year thousands of people are affected by this disease with no known cause or cure.
My dad is the epitome of love, care, and fun. A proud CMU alum, and former tight end of the 1990 Championship team, he spent 5 years on the football field before diving into a successful career in sales. But beyond the accolades and accomplishments, his greatest joy and dedication have always been centered around his family (my mom, me, my brother and his two puppies). As a devoted father, he coached my brother, Garrett and I through countless sports games, never missing a single one and always cheering us on with boundless enthusiasm.
His love for music is palpable, especially when it comes to KISS, and he’s a true rock fan at heart. When he’s not rocking out, you’ll find him exploring new cuisines, as he’s a self-proclaimed foodie with an adventurous palate. One of his dreams is to visit Scotland, to explore our Scottish heritage. He often talks about the beautiful landscapes and rich history. Yet, his favorite moments are those spent with his family, where his caring and playful spirit shine the brightest. For him, nothing beats the simple joy of being together with his loved ones.
The average cost for an ALS patient is around $100,000-$200,000 out of pocket for equipment, medical bills and in home care. The goal is to raise as much money as possible to offset current medical bills and future expenses. The other goal is to raise money for ALS of Michigan to increase support and awareness.
