Her name was Alicia. She battled diabetes, kidney disease, and other illnesses. Three times a week she went to dialysis and every time, it was a battle to come out strong and alive. She knew any day could be her last day and so, she would always smile even though she was in a lot of pain. Her nurses at the dialysis clinic loved her, she would brighten up their day with her jokes and funny gestures, and even at the hospital too, they all loved her. She was always in an uplifting mood and in high spirit despite her health condition. She was selfless and would try to help anyone who was in need. She was a god fearing woman who would encourage others to seek the lord. She was a warrior until her last breath. She was our shining star, our motivation. Her unexpected death has left us heartbroken and in turmoil. We are trying to remain strong like her but sometimes it’s tough.
We ask from the bottom of our hearts to share this and if it’s in your heart, please donate. No amount is small amount, it will make a significant difference and bring us one step closer to giving my grandmama the respectful and loving farewell she deserves.
We deeply appreciate your support, love, and prayers as we honor my grandmama’s life and navigate this painful loss. Thank you all for your gracious support and kindness. God bless you.
