My mom, Agabe Therese, is the strongest person I know, but right now she is facing the toughest fight of her life. Over the past month, she has been battling serious illness in Rwanda, moving from hospital to hospital, only to receive the devastating news that she has cancer.

To get the specialized treatment she desperately needs, she traveled to India. The doctors have begun treatment, but the cost is overwhelming—over $60,000 so far for radiation and medical care—and it continues to rise. We simply cannot manage this on our own.
