Donate for Aaron
I am running the Clontarf Half Marathon in November and have decided to fundraise for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland as it is a charity that means a lot to me.
A close friend of mine, Aaron Smith passed away at 29 unexpectedly in March of 2023 from Sepsis, surrounded by his family and friends, having lived with Cystic Fibrosis. He lived his life to the full and never let his health issues hold him back having travelled and visited a huge amount of countries around the world. He was a big Irish football fan and we held season tickets together up until his time of passing, which I’ve renewed and continued to attend in the same seats we held in memory of him.
Living with CF partially made Aaron the person he was as he was so determined to overcome challenges throughout his life. CF Ireland was close to his heart and he got involved with a lot of fundraisers that they held throughout Aaron’s life.
As Aaron proudly said himself “Not here for a long time but for a good time”.
