Donate for a New Beginning in Recovery

Hey everyone! I've never been one to ask for help until it's pretty much too late! I've struggled with asking for help my whole life, but a good friend of mine urged me to do this. So here goes nothing.

I am rebuilding my life down here in Bangor. I was sober for 10 years and thought I was doing great, until I relapsed over a year ago and everything just spun out of control. I lost everything I worked so hard to get. I was a dry sober for those ten years. I wasn't doing the 12 steps, I didn't have a sponsor, and I didn't attend meetings. By the grace of God, I'm alive today. I am sober today. I am volunteering today. I have a higher power today. I am attending meetings today and actively searching for a sponsor today. I found what I was missing for all of those years. I needed to be unafraid of telling my story, and I needed God to take away all of those material things I worked for because I wouldn't have come back into recovery with a vengeance.

I am starting all over and I'm actively searching for a job down here. I still am a cosmetologist and have my associate's in health information management. I have a tour of Beal College on Monday, to hopefully be accepted into the Nurse Practitioner program. I need some help with travel around the Bangor area. I am looking to buy an electric scooter, so I can DoorDash around town and earn money until I find a job. I still have my driver's license, but want to earn my own money to buy my own vehicle again. If anyone can donate towards this scooter purchase, I would be forever grateful and forever thankful. I will honestly pay it forward when I am able.
