Donate for a Grief Retreat to Heal and Grow

Hi there, for my friends and family that know me - my father passed away on September 18th, 2024 at 9:21pm EST from acute coronary ischemia. These last 56 days have been a rollercoaster of emotions. For those that have lost a family member, you know that this grief is some of the most unimaginable emotional pain a human can go through. Trying to balance my academic life as a full-time college student and properly grieve has been difficult but I am very grateful to have compassionate professors who have been with me every step of the way. On November 13th, I was granted a full scholarship to a five day retreat program at the Selah Carefarm, which is the first carefarm for the traumatically bereaved. I will have access to one-on-one sessions with a specialized grief counselor. I will also have access to daily yoga, group therapy, mutual engagement, and animal therapy, as well art therapy and contemplative practice. Being able to go on this retreat would allow me to grieve in a safe, open, and accepting space where I can also gain insight and hope from counselors who are specifically trained to help me through this time.
These costs will cover my flight and sitter care for my canine that my dad loved very much.
