Donate for a bench in memory of Henry
Donation protected
On 05/01/2024 Henry Davey tragically passed away. Henry was a loving son, a caring brother and a great friend to many. He was always smiling and laughing, in turn making others do the same. His loss has been felt immensely.
Henry had many talents but one that constantly stuck out was his gift and passion for cricket. Playing for a variety of teams over his life he became a pain to bowl to and painful to be bowled at. Henry practiced a lot of cricket at Brockwell Park nets, starting to create a reputation for his pace bowling.
Henry also spent many hours in and around the park with friends and family and cycling to and from school/college through the park everyday.
In memory of him, I strongly believe it would be wonderful to fund a bench for Henry as a commemoration to his life. Ideally, the bench will be located next to the Brockwell park nets. This would be a perfect spot for his family and friends to come sit and remember him and so the future generations of local cricketers can know the name of a joyful, strapping young man who was once in their shoes.
A bench in Brockwell park costs anywhere between £2000 - £3000 (depending on location). The target is £3000, as this would fully cover the cost of a bench and plaque in Brockwell Park and any excess will be donated to a charity of Henry's parents choice.
Any donation is greatly appreciated.
