Please Help Me Get Life-Saving Spinal Surgery

I am humbly reaching out to request your support! I need back surgery to keep walking this journey. Spinal surgery will dramatically alter the course and the quality of the rest of my life. The date for my lumbar surgery is now set for April 4, 2025.

I suffer from a genetic autoimmune condition called Akylosing Spondylitis. A nifty combo of osteoarthritis and disc and joint disease. My back is basically collapsing on itself. The condition has become debilitating. The pain can be grueling. I can no longer walk far or lift anything. Working is difficult as I cannot sit or stand up for any extended length of time. Without the surgery, I will be in a wheelchair for life.

Regretfully, my therapy and coaching practice does not pay PTO. My health insurance covers a significant portion of the medical costs however the surgery is expensive and the recovery process requires rehab and home health care.

*Ankylosing spondylitis is a genetic inflammatory automimmune condition and type of arthritis that affects the spinal vertebrae, the sacroiliac joints, the ligaments as well as peripheral joints in the knees, ankles, and hips. This inflammation increases bone formation in the spine, leading to bone fusion. If left untreated, the illness creates spinal deformity, permanent nerve damage and immobility.
