In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Tennessee and North Carolina are grappling with unexpected and severe devastation. The storm's path veered more westerly than initially predicted, causing unprecedented flooding and wind damage in areas that were not fully prepared for such an impact.

Homes and infrastructure have been extensively damaged, leaving thousands without access to basic necessities.

This happened just two hours from my home in Statesville, NC and across the street from me is a donation drop location at Cloverleaf Elementary. Where local officials are taking a trailer of supplies into Asheville Monday, 10/7/24.
