Hello! I'm Dr. David Kamper, Professor of American Indian Studies at San Diego State University, Associate Director of the Center for Skateboarding, Action Sports, and Social Change, and author of the new book Rezballers and Skate Elders: Joyful Futures in Indian Country.

This book tells the stories of indigenous young people across North America building knowledge and generating well-being and community through skateboarding and basketball.

For the last decade, I've been traveling to tournaments and skateparks from Pine Ridge to the Pala pool gathering stories for the book.
