Hi, my name is Trudy Matthys. 20 years ago, I hired a member of our church, Christus Victor Lutheran Church, to be a pharmacy technician at the Walgreens in Lakeville, MN.

He was looking for a new career after being laid off as an aeronautical engineer. So, I asked him if he wanted to apply for the technician position I had open. He said, "Ok," and the rest is history.

Warren Youngner is a kind, extraordinary, and talented guy. He is a member of Christus Victor Lutheran church and is our drummer for all the musical groups at the church. He and his wife Dawn raised two girls, Emily and Sarah. They have gone on to successful careers and are both married to men who have to compete with Warren!

Warren is a jack-of-all-trades. He has fixed so many things for fellow workers (especially Arlette Trumble), friends, and family. When Warren said "Yes" to my job offer, I was blessed with a friend for life!

Now, Warren and his family need OUR help.

This summer, Warren was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer with lymph node involvement. It has spread to his bones.

As many of you know, healthcare employees rarely have the greatest insurance.

Warren's life expectancy is unknown. Dawn and Warren REALLY NEED OUR HELP NOW.

Warren doesn't understand how many lives he has touched with his music, kindness, and with his life.

Let's help him and his family celebrate the life that he has lived by making finances one less stressor in their lives.
