We have a slot at the Edinburgh Fringe and we need help to get us there and on stage. Our self-funded political comedy received rave reviews at our London sold-out previews and we are so excited to bring it more people. An MP has died. Party members have gathered at North Cackby Community Arts Centre to choose a successor. But how much of a choice do they really have?
PARATROOPERS charts the rise and fall of two prospective candidates for Parliament over the course of the 2024 General Election. This absurdist comedy satire is modelled on real people and events drawn from existing Labour Party scandals – including allegations of voter fraud.
Funds will go towards:
- Travel and accommodation: Being able to provide travel and stay in Edinburgh allows the team to focus all their energy on the show.
- Marketing and flyers: Getting the word out is critical to success at the Fringe. Flyers, posters, and merchandise are key in acheiving wider recognition.
- Venue hire fee: Of course we need a space!
