My daughter, Kaelyn, and her father, Eddie, were killed in a car accident on November 11, 2024. Being that the holidays, especially Christmas, was Kaelyn's favorite time of year I would like to do something to keep her memory alive and to also help possibly lighten the burden for some families during what can be a very expensive time of year. Kaelyn was a firm believer in that it wasn't what was under the tree that mattered, but yet who was around it. She loved decorating the tree and spending time with her favorite people doing it, she said " everyone should have a Christmas tree if nothing else" So, this year I would like to ask for donations that will be given to our local fire department who sells pre-cut trees where families can come and pick out one together. They will be told that their tree has been paid for and hopefully it touches them with the true spirit of Christmas. Next year we can do even more fundraisers in the spring and summer such as a corn hole tournament and other fun events to keep her spirit alive and allow everyone to have a good time remembering her and her dad.
