Will you help me donate books to schools to help promote literacy and plant hundreds of trees?
With every $12.99 donated, a book will be sent to a school AND a tree will be planted in the Indonesia rainforest in collaboration with Orangutan Alliance. My goal is to donate 100 books!
My name is Jack and I'm the Kid Conservationist . I'm a ten-year-old animal activist, author and public speaker. My long term-goal is to get orangutans OFF the endangered species list before it is too late. As the Youth Ambassador for Orangutan Alliance and Orang Utan Republik , I help spread the word about these unique, majestic, and intelligent animals and how to help preserve their habitat, the rainforest. My work starts with education, and my book, Kawan the Orangutan, Lost in the Rainforest, will help educate and inspire children in a fun way. Will you help me spread my message of these incredible creatures?

Orangutans are critical to the rainforest habitat. My story showcases their important role in the ecosystem, but also focuses on the very special relationship that orangutans have with thier mothers. The story is about Kawan, a young orangutan separated for the first time from his mother. This is not common for orangutans, as they stay with their mothers for longer than any other animal (I told you orangutans were incredible!). Kawan relies on the help of his rainforest friends, Sandy Sun Bear, Sally Snake, and Ricky Rhino, to find his mother. The story is accompanied by beautiful illustrations hand-drawn by artist Lexi Yang, primate zookeeper at The Memphis Zoo, who also is the one who educated me and started me on my conservation journey.
Together we can educate kids, spread awareness of critically endangered animals, and help save the planet!
I appreciate any amount you can donate and I know many, many kids will appreciate it too. Thank you! With you support, we can save these majestic apes, the rainforest, and ultimately, ourselves.
