My name is Brian Osborn and my dad, Donald Ray Osborn, passed away a couple of days ago. My brother and I are both hardworking men who have multiple jobs just to support our families. I just refinanced my vehicle, consolidated my credit cards, and closed them all. My brother had to buy a new outdoor unit for his air conditioner, and we don't have the money right now to have a funeral for our father.

We have assets and things we can sell to pay for everything, but that takes time that we don't have. The family has pitched in some, but nothing close to what we need. My dad deserves a good burial and funeral. He was a selfless man who cared more about his Boy Scouts, his friends, his family, and his people than he did himself. He had very little to his name but made it work. He went on disability sometime around 1995 and later went on Social Security. He didn't have much, but he did have time. Instead of wasting it, he found his time valuable by helping others, and the majority of his time was dedicated to Boy Scouts.

He was a scout leader for 42 years in Adair, Oklahoma, close to Pryor, Oklahoma, where he also dedicated 23 years of his life to Pryor Creek Music Festival grounds as the operations manager over the VIP tent and kitchen area. They put on events such as Rocklahoma, Born and Raised, and many others. The family ran a firework stand for most of my life every 4th of July. As the oldest boy of his 5 brothers and sisters, he made sure his family members were okay. He gave up his house to move in with his parents before they passed, took care of his niece's 3 kids after she passed from cancer, took care of his little sister, took care of the scouts, took care of Pryor Creek Music Festival grounds, took care of his people and friends, and the list just keeps going and going. The dedication, the morals, the humanity in him will live on for generations. But we need the money to give our father the funeral he deserves.
