My family is asking for your assistance for my uncle, Donald Fitzpatrick, who has been fighting a critical illness for the past few years. He is a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed working for over 25 years at NYS Department of Corrections, starting his career as a correctional officer and ending his career as Deputy Superintendent for Security of NYS Department of Corrections. He was diagnosed with non-alcohol cirrhotic liver disease that will lead to liver failure and a transplant. Over the past 9 months Donald has undergone 3 major surgeries that has required hospitalizations in a NYC hospital where his specialist's are located. His most recent hospitalization, two weeks ago was for a procedure that should have been a 1-2 day overnight stay. Unfortunately, he remains hospitalized after having emergency surgery 2 days after his procedure. The unexpected medical expenses from this lengthy stay combined with the expenses from his treatments and surgeries over the last couple years has placed a financial burden on him and his wife Cheri. Donald has always been there to lend a helping hand when needed to family and friends, so please help me help him and his family now in their time of need.
