As many of you know, my sweet Uncle Don was the victim of attempted murder by the hands of his roommate. As many of you also know, he's still been recovering from a double-lung transplant from a few years ago, and his body is very fragile right now, with trauma from multiple brain and body lacerations and with what's sure to be many medical bills due to being life-flighted, spending time in 2 hospitals, and being in treated around the clock in the ICU and by the Neuro-Critical Cares Service Team, and what is sure to be an emotional and difficult trial ahead, and working in an industry where you make no money if you are in the hospital, during recovery, and during the trial, we are humbly asking for your help. Even if you are unable to donate, prayers and sharing this would mean so much to his family.
Don had been a huge part of his community, and has helped numerous people, often sacrificing himself to make sure others are ok. He is a caretaker by nature, and I know he will find these donations humbling, as he is not used to being taken care of, but he needs us.
His body is tired, and we're asking for you to please allow him to rest, and let the family provide updates, and let the investigators work to bring this crime against our amazing Don to justice. Don is also asking to please hold off calls and visits, as he is weak, and more than anything, we want to make sure he makes it through this traumatic event.
