Hello!
My name is Adriana, youngest daughter of Mariana and I will be telling my moms story.
My mom was known for being such a sweet and kind person and I am so proud to have such an amazing strong lady as a mother. Many things were thrown at her and not once did she ever give up. Being on dialysis for over a decade and having to deal with the loss of right leg among other things, my mom is a warrior and and a true inspiration to us.
On April 27, 2020 before dialysis Mariana sanchez-Camilo suffered a cardiac arrest. Nurses found her unconscious on her dialysis chair and immediately called paramedics. Once paramedics arrived they preceded with CPR and noticed she wasn't breathing they began to insert a breathing tube in her mouth and was rushed to the ER. She arrived and quickly doctors tried doing everything they could to help. We waited the 72hr mark in hopes of her waking up, but did not. So, few days after we were left with the tough chose to pro long life or transition into comfort care meaning remove her from life support.
We have decided to pro long her life and left god to decide, none of us feel comfortable or even have the strength to remove her off life support. My is a religious person and never wanted to be cremated she always told us "if anything were to happen to me do NOT cremate me..." so cremation isn't an option and never was to begin with. Being buried in her mom country, Colonet, Mexico is my moms wish and we hope to make that possible.
