This is for our beloved friend Yuley and her family who suffered a tragic loss of life and property.

Yuley lived in La Guaira, Venezuela, with her two daughters, Gaby (age 17) and Camila (age 12). Their apartment was on the 11th floor of a 14-story building.

• On Weds, June 24, at 6:05pm, two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela changing their lives forever. Yuley was working in Caracas at the time of the earthquake. She was desperately trying to reach her daughters and selflessly contacted friends telling them to check on their families. Within a half hour, she found out that the worst damage was in La Guaira and saw an Instagram video with her collapsed apartment building. She feared her daughters were inside and made her way to the site. When she got to La Guaira, she saw her collapsed building and was devastated.

Hours later, rescuers arrived and heard her daughters screaming for help, giving her renewed hope. Unfortunately, it took 4 hours to reach them and, by then, Gaby had lost the battle to live. Camila was rescued with severe injuries and is now in intensive care in the hospital. Yuley is burdened with funeral expenses and hospital bills. They have no funds for a home, for food, or other basic necessities.

Gaby was a loving, beautiful and talented girl. She was a renowned tennis player.
