We are a group of friends who a few months ago had the opportunity to meet Samar El Alghoul, a Palestinian girl forced to continue her studies in Cuba because of the conflict her country is experiencing.

We decided to open this fundraiser to go directly to her family in Gaza since, being in Cuba, a country outside the European Union, Samar is unable to support them financially and otherwise.

The occupation destroyed their home and their small business, a clothing store that was their only income. At the beginning of the occupation they were displaced from their home because it was destroyed, as was the store, and they found themselves having to live in a tent. The youngest brother was supposed to reach Samar but could not travel as he had to stay with his family to help them. Since the crossing has been closed they are no longer able to receive basic necessities to live on.

Anything that is collected will be sent to Samar's family in Gaza so they can support them.
