Help Diego Complete His Studies!

Hello everyone, my name is Diego Mendoza. I am 23 years old and a passionate International Studies student at Universidad Santa María (USM) in Caracas, Venezuela. I began this exciting degree in October 2020, full of dreams and with the firm conviction of dedicating myself to the international field.

With considerable effort, I reached the 7th of 10 semesters. However, Venezuela's challenging economic situation forced me to pause my studies. Covering tuition became an overwhelming burden, a common issue for many students here, forcing the prioritization of household responsibilities. Well-paying job opportunities that would allow a student like me to afford their studies are, unfortunately, very scarce, which made this pause inevitable.

Despite these obstacles, my dedication to international studies is unwavering. My passion led me to seek valuable experiences: collaborating with Embassies and the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry for diplomatic insights; volunteering with AIESEC in youth leadership and intercultural understanding; and recently, contributing to the UN Volunteers (UNV) Programme, supporting agencies like IOM, UNRISD, UNDP, and the International Trade Centre (ITC).

Driven by this same passion, I also became actively involved within my university, serving as Academic Advisor and Coordinator of the USM Model of Diplomatic and Commercial Representations. It was a rewarding experience to guide other students and foster their interest in the international world

All these experiences – professional, volunteer, and academic – have been incredibly enriching and demonstrate my deep commitment to the field of international studies. However, my student status, coupled with the current pause, has made it extremely difficult to access formal and stable jobs that would allow me to gather the necessary funds to return to university and cover all associated expenses.

Today, with humility and much hope, I reach out for your support to resume my studies and complete the final three semesters needed for my Bachelor's degree in International Studies. Finishing my degree isn't just a personal ambition; it's the essential step to formally enter the workforce, apply my knowledge and experience, and build a solid professional future where I can contribute positively.

Every contribution, regardless of its size, represents a ray of hope and brings me closer to returning to the classroom. Your help can enable me to overcome this financial barrier and complete this crucial stage of my life.

I wholeheartedly appreciate any support you can offer, whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign with your contacts. Thank you for believing in my potential and for helping me get back on the path to my graduation!

Warm Regards,
Diego Mendoza
